The Powerbook Fan Book by Derrick Story

There is a wealth of information for the new Mac user, not just those few with a power book. One of its best features is the photos and recommendations on the many accessories available for the Mac. These include speakers for use with iTunes, digital cameras for iPhoto, external hard drives and, of course, carrying cases for your laptop.

The book also introduces the new users to many of the Mac programs including iCal, Stickies,iTunes, iPhoto, Safari, Address Book and the System Preferences. There is also a good focus on wireless networking, including AirPort Extreme and Bluetooth. This book is definitely for the beginner and is recommended for new Mac laptop users and for much of the content even for any new Mac user.
The Powerbook Fan Book is128 pages, $14.95 retail. Available for review in the PSLUG library.
